Fíor collects and processes limited information needed to operate the service, including account details, API keys, and user-linked analysis history.

What the browser extension records

The extension only reads a page when you explicitly ask it to, by pressing Run on this page only. It does not scan pages in the background, and it does not monitor or collect your general browsing activity. Pages you never check are never read and never sent anywhere.

Each time you check a page, the extension sends the page address, the page title, an extract of the main readable text (up to roughly 1,000 characters) and the detected language to the Fíor backend for scoring. Fíor stores that information together with the result, the associated probability scores, and the date and time of the check, linked to your account.

Because each check is stored with its address, title and time, the pages you have chosen to check build up a history of those pages, which is shown back to you on your dashboard. Only pages you actively checked appear there — it is not a record of your browsing.

To produce a score, the extracted text is processed by a third-party machine learning inference provider acting on Fíor's behalf, solely to return a score for that text.

User-linked analysis data is logically segregated in the application and database so that account data and user-linked history are associated with the relevant user account.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect stored data. However, no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.

Fíor does not sell your personal data. Data is used to provide and operate the service, maintain security, support the product, and improve the service.

If you accept cookies on the website, Fíor uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, with Google acting as a data processor for that purpose. This is optional and only runs if you accept the cookie banner; declining keeps Google Analytics off.

If you delete your account, your account data, API key, and your full history of checked pages — including the stored addresses, titles, text extracts and results — are deleted from the service, subject to normal system cleanup and any limited retention required for security, operational integrity, or legal reasons.
